ORDER OF PLAY - Match 1 starts at 1000 sharp, otherwise we'll have to end the tournament in the dark!
GENERAL PLAYING RULES
- 7/8 players per side, including captain
- In an 8-player squad, 7 players play each game, with one player sitting out. Each player plays at least 3 out of 4 round-robin games.
- Normal match fees for each player. Food NOT included.
- At least £100 will be donated to Cardiac Risk in the Young
- 6 overs, 6 balls.
- Batsmen retire at 20 (and return later if necessary)
- Last man stands
- Round robin format
- Everyone must open the innings at least once.
- The rest of the order is up to the skipper.
- There must be a designated wicket keeper, no changing mid game
- Teams to wear coloured tops (supplied), you bring the trousers or shorts (any colour)
- Putney Bear is a fielder - hit him on the full and its OUT. Can be placed anywhere by the skipper but must stay in the same place.
- Wides. All leg side balls are wides. Wides count 3 runs and no extra ball bowled, except for the last over.
- No balls are as normal including above waist height for all bowlers. 3 extra run and no extra ball. Free hit applies for all no balls.
- "Not out" batsman to carry on until the end of the overs or until he is out - last man standing rules apply
- Standard rules of cricket apply thereafter i.e. no double play
- If we have a tie on points, we should have a super over or bowl out before the final
